Candidate Statement

Greetings Fellow Greens, I joined the Green Party for the environment, and stayed because of the remarkable people, robust policies, and the platform that the Party champions. I've embraced various roles within the Green Party from Campaign Manager to serving as a Financial Agent. I've actively contributed to two EDA executive committees and received the Angela Rickman award for my contributions to the Party’s policy process. Volunteering for the Virtual General Meetings has provided me with invaluable insights into the Party's functioning. The Green Party is more than just a political affiliation; it's undeniably my political home. What distinguishes me as the ideal candidate for a governance role? As the former Chair of the Georgian Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic Board of Directors, I steered the organization through strategic planning and budget considerations. Currently, I am serving as Chair of the Board for the Alzheimer’s Society of Waterloo Wellington as it navigates the accreditation process. With years of healthcare leadership and management experience, I bring a wealth of governance knowledge to the table. My commitment to ethical standards, fostered during my nursing career, remains steadfast. If elected, I will apply the same dedication and integrity, always prioritizing the best interests of our members. Having served on the Policy Development and Process Committee, I am deeply committed to advancing Continuous Motion Development (CMD). Recognizing members' calls for CMD since 2016, I will tirelessly work towards its complete implementation. Canada needs Green policies, and CMD will ensure the Party is responsive to emerging national and international issues. I am honored to stand for the role of Ontario Representative on Federal Council. I am confident that my diverse experience, unwavering commitment, and passion for the Green Party makes me the ideal candidate for this position. Together, let's propel our party to new heights.

J'ai rejoint le Parti Vert pour l'environnement et j'y suis restée en raison des personnes remarquables, des politiques solides et de la plate-forme que le Parti défend. J'ai assumé différents rôles au sein du parti vert, de celui de directeur de campagne à celui d'agent financier. J'ai participé activement à deux comités exécutifs de l'AED et j'ai reçu le prix Angela Rickman pour ma contribution au processus politique du parti. Le fait d'être bénévole pour les assemblées générales virtuelles m'a permis d'acquérir des connaissances inestimables sur le fonctionnement du parti. Le parti vert est plus qu'une simple affiliation politique ; c'est indéniablement mon foyer politique. Qu'est-ce qui fait de moi le candidat idéal pour un rôle de gouvernance ? En tant qu'ancienne présidente du conseil d'administration de la Georgian Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic, j'ai guidé l'organisation à travers la planification stratégique et les considérations budgétaires. Actuellement, je préside le conseil d'administration de la Société Alzheimer de Waterloo Wellington, qui est en cours d'accréditation. Grâce à mes nombreuses années d'expérience en matière de leadership et de gestion dans le secteur des soins de santé, j'apporte une grande richesse de connaissances en matière de gouvernance. Mon engagement envers les normes éthiques, encouragé au cours de ma carrière d'infirmière, reste inébranlable. Si je suis élue, je ferai preuve du même dévouement et de la même intégrité, en donnant toujours la priorité aux intérêts de nos membres. Ayant siégé au comité d'élaboration des politiques et des processus, je suis profondément attachée à la promotion du développement des mouvements continus (DMC). Reconnaissant les appels des membres en faveur du DMC depuis 2016, je travaillerai sans relâche à sa mise en œuvre complète. Le Canada a besoin de politiques vertes, et le DMC permettra au Parti de répondre aux nouveaux enjeux nationaux et internationaux. Je suis honoré de me présenter pour le rôle de représentant de l'Ontario au Conseil fédéral. Je suis convaincu que mon expérience diversifiée, mon engagement inébranlable et ma passion pour le Parti vert font de moi le candidat idéal pour ce poste.
