Changes at "G23-B007 Proper handling of Conflict of Interest and Bias in GPC"

To ensure the proper handling of conflict of interest and bias, and protect the integrity of decision-making activity and processes: 

 Add operative clause 10.6 to Bylaw 10 Openness & Transparency

10.6.

Federal Council shall create or ensure the creation of a policy or policies regarding the proper handling of Conflict of Interest [COI] and Bias, and the policy or policies shall be applicable to Federal Council, Governance Committees, Shadow Cabinet, the Leadership Team and associated staff, functionaries, Party operational staff, national office volunteers, the Fund, EDAs, election candidates and General Meetings. The policy should include the definition, identification, and handling of COI and Bias in order to prevent harmful decisions and actions.

10.6.

Le Conseil fédéral élaborera ou veillera à l'élaboration d'une ou de plusieurs politiques concernant la gestion adéquate des conflits d'intérêts et de la partialité, et la ou les politiques seront applicables au Conseil fédéral, aux comités de gouvernance, au cabinet fantôme, à l'équipe de direction et au personnel associé, aux fonctionnaires, au personnel opérationnel du Parti, aux bénévoles du bureau national, au Fonds, aux associations de circonscription, aux candidatures aux élections et aux assemblées générales. La politique doit inclure la définition, l'identification et le traitement des informations sur les pays d'origine et des préjugés afin de prévenir les décisions et les actions préjudiciables.
