Submission of Dissent

Once a proposal has reached (2) Workshop, to publish a formal Dissenting Opinion, sign in to WeDecide and complete the form below.

Formal Dissenting Opinions are published with the policy motion on the (3) Vote tab. Once submitted, formal Dissents are finalised and will be published as submitted.

Dissents must adhere to the Safe Spaces Content Guidelines.

Once a proposal has reached (2) Workshop, if a member disagrees with a proposal, they can share their strong opposition publicly. There are two types of formal Dissenting Opinions:

  1. strongly opposing the intent of a proposal, or,
  2. strongly opposing the wording of the proposal statement (operative clause).

A formal Dissenting Opinion should identify the Green Value at issue. Publishing a formal Dissenting Opinion allows a member to explain why they think the policy should be (RED) rejected in the all member vote or (YELLOW) sent back to workshop for more work. Formal Dissenting Opinions will be published with the policy motion on the (3) Vote tab. Once submitted, dissents are finalised and will be published as submitted.
