Changes at "Lien Huynh (they/them) "

Lien Huynh is a second year Political Science student at the University of Ottawa. They have a strong interest in public policy, and exploring different democratic systems. When Lien isn't studying or working on projects for their Student Government, they can be found working on tasks for Youth Parliament of Manitoba, in which they've been an active member for three years.

Experience and Skills

Lien has always prioritized being involved in Academic and Extracurricular activities. In High School they ran a weekly fundraiser for grad, which is where they started to learn about managing money and creating budgets on a large scale. The skills they learned from that opportunity carried over to University where they are the Director of Finance for uOVote(s), a campus club that promotes voter literacy for student elections.

Lien is heavily involved with their Political Science Student Government and is currently serving a term as its VP Communications. As the VP Communications, Lien is responsible for creating a marketing plan to make sure students are aware of the events and programming the Student Government offers. With a team of seven on the Communications Committee, Lien is adept at working with others and catering to their strengths.

Lien Huynh est un etudiante de la science politique au université d`Ottawa. Elle aime beaucoup la politique publique et exploré les différents systèmes de gouvernement. Quand elle n`étude ni travailler sur les projets pour sa gouvernement d`étudiant, elle travaille sur les taches pour la Parlement Jeunesse, dont elle est un membre active pendants trois ans.

Expérience et compétences

Lien priorise toujours l`implication des différentes activités para-scolaire. À l`école secondaire, elle a organisé une collecte de fonds hebdomadaires. C`était là où elle a commencé d`apprendre comment gérer de l’argent et créer des budgets à grande échelle. Les compétences qu`elle à apprendre là aide maintenant à l’université où elle est la directrice des finances pour uOVote(s), un club qui promouvoi l’alphabétisation des électeurs pour des élections des étudiants.

Lien s’est impliqué avec le gouvernement d`étudiant pour la science politique, où elle est la VP des Communications. Dans cette rôle, Lien est responsable de gérer une stratégie de communication pour assurer que tous les étudiants de la science politique ont accès au l`information pour nos événements et programmes. Avec une équipe de sept sur le comité de communications, Lien comprend comment travailler avec des autres et garder en tête leurs points forts.
