As climate justice activist, researcher, and organizer, I strongly believe in the value of participatory democracy and true Green values. Having recently moved back to Ontario, where I am from, I am eager to support the continuously increasing Green wave in the province and advocate for better youth inclusion and governance within the party. Ontario is my home, and I have community ties throughout the province including Southern Ontario, where I live; Eastern Ontario, where I spent all of my summers growing up; and Northern Ontario where some of my family is from. I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to advance the Young Greens Council as the Ontario Representative.</p><h3><strong>Experience and Skills</strong></h3><p>I have been involved in the Green movement for many years. Previously, I was one of the Youth Representatives on the Executive of the Halifax Electoral District Association, the Policy Convenor for the Green Party of Nova Scotia, and a candidate for office during the 2021 Nova Scotia Provincial election. I have also volunteered on many campaigns including as the Youth Engagement Chair for Jo-Ann Roberts' campaign in Halifax in 2019; as the Volunteer Lead and a Policy Researcher on Amita Kuttner's campaign for leadership in 2020; and as a canvassing volunteer with local municipal candidates in Halifax Regional Municipality. Additionally, I have experience on multiple non-profit boards, as a Secretary, member of Finance committees, and communications. En tant que militante de la justice climatique, chercheuse et organisatrice, je crois fermement à la valeur de la démocratie participative et aux vraies valeurs vertes. Ayant récemment déménagé en Ontario, d'où je suis originaire, j'ai hâte de soutenir la vague verte qui ne cesse de croître dans la province et de plaider pour une meilleure inclusion des jeunes et une meilleure gouvernance au sein du Parti. L'Ontario est ma maison et j'ai des liens communautaires dans toute la province, y compris dans le sud de l'Ontario, où je vis, dans l'est de l'Ontario, où j'ai passé tous mes étés en grandissant, et dans le nord de l'Ontario, d'où vient une partie de ma famille. Je serais ravie d'avoir l'occasion de faire progresser le Conseil des Jeunes Verts en tant que représentante de l'Ontario.</p><h3><strong>Expérience et compétences</strong></h3><p>Je participe au mouvement vert depuis de nombreuses années. Auparavant, j'ai été l'un des représentants des jeunes au sein de l'exécutif de l'Association de la circonscription électorale de Halifax, le responsable des politiques du Parti vert de Nouvelle-Écosse et un candidat aux élections provinciales de 2021 en Nouvelle-Écosse. J'ai également participé bénévolement à de nombreuses campagnes, notamment en tant que responsable de l'engagement des jeunes pour la campagne de Jo-Ann Roberts à Halifax en 2019, en tant que responsable des bénévoles et chercheuse en politiques pour la campagne d'Amita Kuttner en 2020, et en tant que bénévole pour les candidats municipaux locaux dans la municipalité régionale d'Halifax. En outre, j'ai de l'expérience au sein de plusieurs conseils d'administration d'organisations à but non lucratif, en tant que secrétaire, membre des comités financiers et des communications.
