Proposal

The GPC will advocate for community wealth, in its most expansive definition, by supporting initiatives that increase social and ecological capital as well as personal wellbeing.  

Objective

Community wealth includes initiatives like great public and green spaces, caring for the homeless, affordable housing, childcare, and transit, safe bike lanes, active non-profits, community economic development, reconciliation with Indigenous communities, and other projects that increase social/ecological capital and personal well-being without increasing GDP/economic growth. 

Benefit

Increased community wealth, contrasted with individual wealth, is an essential goal of a steady-state economy in which material resource use is no longer increasing. New ideas need expression in three words or less, to capture the public imagination. The term “community wealth” could clearly differentiate the GPC from other parties.

Proposition :
Le PVC défendra la richesse communautaire, dans sa définition la plus large, en soutenant des initiatives qui augmentent le capital social et écologique ainsi que le bien-être personnel.  

Objectif :
La richesse communautaire comprend des initiatives telles que de grands espaces publics et verts, la prise en charge des personnes en situation d’itinérance, des logements abordables, des services de garde d'enfants et des transports en commun, des pistes cyclables sécuritaires, des associations sans but lucratif actives, le développement économique communautaire, la réconciliation avec les communautés autochtones et d'autres projets qui augmentent le capital social/écologique et le bien-être personnel sans accroître le PIB/la croissance économique. 

Avantage :
L'accroissement de la richesse communautaire, par opposition à la richesse individuelle, est un objectif essentiel d'une économie stable dans laquelle l'utilisation des ressources matérielles n'augmente plus. Les nouvelles idées doivent être exprimées en trois mots ou moins afin de capter l’attention de l’auditoire. L'expression « richesse communautaire » pourrait clairement différencier le PVC des autres partis.
